Let the Games Begin

The greatest time of the year is once again here as football Saturdays are about to begin. So Michigan is playing D-1AA Appalachian State this year from my neck of the woods. They are a great team for their level, but it should still be an easy win for the Wolverines.

The Mountaineers' coach had an interesting quote today in the Asheville newspaper: "We know Michigan is a great team, but we’re not treating them any different than if we were going to Furman or Georgia Southern,” said Moore. “I like the challenge of it. We don’t plan to take guys up there who won’t compete.”

Really? No different?

According to another article it's a $400,000 pay day for the small school and a nice chance for them to be on TV (insert Big Ten Network joke here).

The Detroit Free Press chimes in with a phenomenal article on Michigan Mike Hart and what has helped shape him into the man he is today.

I'm too lazy to do a detailed preview for Appalachian State, but I can't see this being closer than 21 points with plenty of garbage time.

The only garbage on the field wore maize and blue ... and make no mistake. The garbage stunk. Bad. REAL bad. Lloyd Carr and the rest of the weaselrines were too high on themselves and took a good adversary too lightly. Now the University of Meatchicken football program has another dubious mark on its record. Enjoy!

That's right, absolutely no difference whatsoever. It is nearly impossible not to gloat now, but since this is no different than any other win, I feel no need

This is what happens when you leave good writing and analysis out for your pre pubescent crush on the maize and blue. Next time try showing some respect where it is due for a team with a 14 game winning streak (especially since you are rocking a 2 game losing streak (GO BUCKS)).

You will learn when you grow up.

Wow, apparently the morons are out in full force after this one. Then again, I knew they would be. All you geniuses might want to recognize that I did give this a 1/50 chance of happening which is probably more than most people did. But oh well, logic goes out the window when the improbable actually does happen. I rarely if ever post from my laptop on vacation but I will have to make an exception this week after such a monumental upset.

also, for the retarded bango player, you are probably unaware that I've seen App State play several times. A few of my friends here in North Carolina used to play for them. Then again, you probably do live in Boone which is punishment enough.

I apologize to the grammar police that typing on my laptop is a little more difficult than what I'm used to which is why I use it so rarely.

It doesn't change the point, however.

By the way, I love all the anonmyous commentors here today. This is great.
